How Do I Get There:
The best way to reach Malua Bay is via car. The nearest major town is Bateman's Bay (about 15 minutes drive north of Malua Bay), and the nearest regional airport is at Moruya (20 minutes south of Malua Bay).
McKenzie's Beach, the location of the ceremony is at the southern most end of Malua Bay. Heading south on George Bass Drive from Bateman's Bay, you will need to pass Malua Bay Beach (on your left), ascend up a hill, and as you descend you will see a beach in front of you, on your left hand-side - this is McKenzie's Beach. Parking may be a little tricky since the beach parking lot is rather small. However, you can park along the road, but please be careful when walking to the beach.
Once you walk past the parking area, take an immediate left when you hit the top of the sand dune - the ceremony will be on the grassy area overlooking the beach.
Barbeque Celebration:
After the short ceremony we will be heading to Geoff & Kathy's Malua Bay beach house at 57 Illabunda Drive. To get to the house, just head back up the hill (towards Malua Bay Beach), and take the first right at the top of the hill. 57 Illabunda Drive is approximately 300m on your left.
Accommodation:
Since this is a small gathering we're suggesting that people contact us directly at mm [at] 2earley [dot] com to discuss your situation. We realize this is late notice for some of you, and so would like to assist you in finding a place to stay. For those of you who don't mind crashing on the floor, there is plenty of room at the Malua Bay Beach House. However, if you prefer to leave a little early from the BBQ and head back to Canberra (or somewhere else), then please do, we certainly won't be offended. Either way, please email us to let us know if you're planning to stay the night in the area.
What to Bring:
Please, no presents. If you would like to make a contribution to help us furnish our new home in Washington DC, we would be very grateful (feel free to tell us what you would like us to enjoy with your gift). However, we have very full suitcases already, and the logistics of traveling back to the US with presents in tow is somewhat daunting.
Please bring your favorite music or ipod playlist to help us enjoy the evening barbeque!
